Nevada's Teen Driving Restrictions

Passengers Nevada Teen Drivers under 18 cannot transport any passenger under the age of 18, except for immediate family members, for the first six months after licensing. Curfew Nevada Teen Drivers under 18 may not drive between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless they are traveling to or from a scheduled event such as work or a school event. This curfew remains in effect until age 18.

Las Vegas teen killed in crash identified

A teenage boy who died after crashing into another vehicle in the northwest valley has been identified as Shane Sanders, 16, of Las Vegas. Sanders died Tuesday from multiple blunt-force injuries, the Clark County Coroner’s office said. Sanders was a former student at Palo Verde High School, said Clark County School District public-information specialist David Roddy. According to Metro Police: About 7 p.m., Sanders was riding a Honda off-road motorcycle east on West Alta Drive, near Hualapai Way, when he ran a red light and crashed into a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 that was northbound on Hualapai. The 34-year-old driver of the Honda came to a stop, but the motorcycle overturned and Sanders was ejected

Teen Driver Killed

My oldest child, Wade H. C. (18 years old), a passenger in a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage that was speeding (speed not yet determined) The driver lost control of the car and hit a large pine tree. The driver was given a ticket for reckless driving which has since been reduced to improper control of a vehicle. Accident took place 12 July 2004. The driver, also 18, had just completed the required drivers education program and received the 90 temporary license from the driving instructor just 9 days prior to killing my son. The driver had 2 pending tickets-driving without a license and speeding 73 in a 55mph zone.
